The new generation of automotive displays has a name: iMFD – intelligent, multi-functioning display. This revolutionary, modular display from
...and how’s your engine? Especially with a high performance and fully loaded engine it’s important to have constant access to certain engine data (like at the DTM or in Formula 1 racing). With the iMFD and its sensors it is now possible to have that data in real time and on the dash! For example: Lambda (Mixed ratio AFR) A reassuring feeling when your engine is running within its optimal range. If the engine is tuned too low, engine damage can result, and if the mixture is too rich, performance will be compromised. The AFR module (air-fuel ratio) is a must have for all Turbo model drivers. Exhaust-Temperature (Exhaust Gas Temperature EGT) Also a must for loaded engines: too high exhaust temperatures can lead to serious engine damage with burnt exhaust valves and defect turbochargers!! Oil temperature With the FluidTemp module, liquid temperatures can be measured – recommended for all 996 models, as fluid temperature displays were not included in their manufacture. In development are numerous other modules such as an intake air module, oil and fuel pressure modules and a module for the OBD2 interface. Operator Controls Up to 32 modules can be operated consecutively, and with the remote feature displays can be retrieved, removed or recalled. The sensors immediately recognize the remote’s signals, effectively eliminating any manual adjustment. Up to four displays can be shown simultaneously, affording you complete oversight of your engine’s performance. You pick the display You can choose from the classic, round display style, the numerical display, a graphical display or a combination of display styles.
Also customizable is the background graphics of your display, just as the background on your PC. You can customize the background to be the playmate of the month, your stepmother or rather a sandy beach with palms. Whatever you wish to see as your background. Features:

Der The diameter of the display is 52 mm (Standard) and the installation depth only 1 cm!! The displays can even be integrated on the clock display of 964 and 993 models (photo composition!).
Or you can create your own individual graphics for the displays: background, color and scale are all individually programmable. Now you can match exactly the design of the iMFD with your conception of a display. It really doesn't get any more customized than that!
